Here Comes the Sun!

Filed under: Encouragement — Ruth Marlene Friesen at 12:29 pm on Thursday, May 17, 2007

Yes, spring has arrived in our area and the snows are gone, the strong winds have died down, and the sun is shining warmly!

That’s outside. In my heart spring has come too, as doors are opening this week to get financing so I can buy that certain little house I’ve been taking about for two months now. It looks like everything will be in place shortly!

You’ve found this true too, haven’t you? Our lives have seaons, and sometimes we have to tough out the difficult ones, knowing that the seaons will change, and the sun will come out again.

House-buying Updates

Once more, because my business hours are sacrificed for cleaning up Dad’s estate, I can only give updates on my personal situation;

1. A co-signer has come forward, allowing me to research first-time mortgages this week. The papers to be signed today or tomorrow.

2. Dad’s estate auction is scheduled for July 6.

3. I now expect to have possession of my little mint green house in time to clean up, fix, and move in well before the auction date.

4. I’m getting small batches of my first missionary letter out to friends and relatives.

But God has promised strength for the day,
rest for the labour;
light for the way, grace for the trials,
help from above,
unfailing sympathy, undying love.

5 Quick Updates

Filed under: FEATURE ARTICES — Ruth Marlene Friesen at 11:16 am on Thursday, May 3, 2007

Again, because my business hours are sacrificed for cleaning up Dad’s estate, I can only give updates on my personal situation;

1. Well, one is a business item. I was able to meet with a committee last week and now have a paying web designer contract for their society. That’s for one night a week.

2. An auctioneer is to come this afternoon to assess Dad’s estate stuff for sale. That will allow several other things to move forward. But I am still hoping a couple of others will come so we can pick the best one.

3. My siblings and I had a family auction weekend before last, and I was able to buy up all the furniture I will need for just $103. Wonderful!

4. I feel stronger physically for all the extra physical work I’m doing. That’s worth something too.

5. I’m starting to get my first missionary letter out to friends and relatives.
