This layout is also super-simple, but uses a textured background for those who like to indulge in something to appeal to the senses.

It is no problem at all to switch that swirls of chocolate to something floral, or fabric textured, or shiny and luxurious looking. I would say if your site is about something that calls for a sense of "feel" or "emotion" to it, then you'd do well with a textured background.

I could go silly and make up copies of this in all kinds of backgrounds, and still not find the perfect one for you, so why not correspond with me first, and describe what your site is suppose to get across - then I'll find some backgrounds that might do it, and make up samples for you?
